KUALA LUMPUR: A Form Four student of the Royal Military College (RMC) Sungai Besi here died early this morning believed to be bullied and abused by the college seniors.
Cheras deputy police chief, Supt Abd Rahim Hamzah, while confirming the incident said initial investigations found that there is a criminal element in the case of the death of Mohammad Naim Mohamad Sobri Mustaqim, 16.
"We will investigate this case under Section 302 of the Penal Code and still waiting for autopsy reports for further action," he said when contacted here today.
He said police have not taken any further and identify individuals who are involved in the incident.
Statement by the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) mentions an incident involving the student's death occurred between 11:30 am yesterday until 1:20 this morning.
MINDEF has established a board of inquiry to determine the cause of the incident.
Mohammad Naim Mustaqim was found unconscious and taken to the Armed Forces Medical Center (Public) Sungai Besi camp for treatment but died upon arrival confirmed in situ.
The corpse was then taken to University Medical Center (PPUKM) for autopsy and police reports made in the second Iron River Police Station this morning.
"Families have been notified to the late and a board of inquiry was established after the incident occurred to determine the cause of the incident," the statement said.
Some students who are identified with the victim during the incident were called to assist the investigation.
"Police investigations are underway to advance the internal needs of the Armed Forces, the special investigation branch Provos Marshal to conduct a follow-up investigation," the statement said.
