Social Learning Theory Albert Bandura



Today I will share with you all about the theory of social learning theory of Albert Bandura ..... I get of several books that discuss the psychological theory. The formulation of what I get is:



Humans are always looking for an easy and fun to do something
in life. Sometimes it is easier to learn something of what made the by seeing imitating. One of the initial studies look at this matter was conducted by Bandura (1965 and 1973). He want to know what children can learn aggressive behavior by only to see others behaving aggressively.

In these studies, Bandura (1973) collects some boys and girls, and show films that have
aggressive behavior. Children are divided into three groups separately. The first group to see the action of individuals who behave aggressively and after behaving so, he is rewarded. The second group also saw the recording action of individuals who behave aggressively, but this individual
then punished for his actions. The third group only saw recordings aggressive acts without seeing the actress rewards or punishments.

The results of the study, he found all the children imitate the behavior aggressive behavior, but the frequency of aggressive behavior by the two fewer than the group one and three. But when they behave aggressively and then was rewarded for such behavior, Bandura (1973) found that the frequency of all groups increased with the higher rate.

In conclusion, why do we have to imitate to learn something behavior can be divided into three areas namely;

2. Is the closest to imitating the way we learn. A behavior will be easier to learn the ropes by watching examples of how it should be read directions specified in the manuals.

3. By imitating the observations, we avoid failure may arise as a result of the trial and error. We know and can see where the error occurred and this can be avoided with immediate effect.

The imitation (modeling) is a behavior modification techniques involves observations of the behavior of another person, called the model and imitate the act. Bandura (1973) did not deny the importance of aspects reinforcement to influence behavior, but he did not agree if behavior can be learned only through direct reinforcement.

Theory of Maslow's hierarchy of Human Needs



Today I will bring us into the realm of theory. The first theory that I share the theory of Maslow hierarchy of human needs. The theory is related to bullying. This theory would lead us to know the individual treatments. Hopefully, everyone will benefit from the formula that I write here.

Maslow (1951) emphasize the human aspect has good natural instincts and have the desire to achieve self-perfection. If environmental conditions prevent or interfere with the development today, the individual will develop neurotic because human instincts are weak internal and
easily influenced by environmental factors. According to Maslow (1951), human have the basic necessities of life. The basic requirement is physiological needs, safety needs, love and be loved, needs for self-esteem and self-perfection.

The most basic needs are physiological needs in life. This including hunger, thirst, rest, get air and sex. If physiological needs are not met, other needs such as security, love and be loved, the need for self-esteem and self-perfection would be negligible.

Therefore, people will do a behavior to meet physiological before another need arises. When the need physiology have been fulfilled, arose the necessity of security and the needs other. According to Maslow (1951), among children and adolescents are not spared of their needs such as those found in the hierarchy of human needs. Their teens will do a behavior to meet the needs of human life. They will conduct stimulation to meet the physiological needs, safety needs, love and appreciation loving self from others in the region. Therefore, they will do things even if it is deemed to meet the needs stimulation their lives and want to feel safe and respected by their peers or the 'peer group'.

Student beaten to death




SEREMBAN: A Form Four students of a boarding school in Dam near here died, believed to be due to beating by a group of seniors after refusing to lend to buy a new kettle.
Mohd Farid Ibrahim, 16, from Taman Desa Anggerik, Senawang, were found seriously injured in a school toilet Religion Dato Klana Petra Maamor, Dam, about 4 pm yesterday.

They brought Mohd Farid to Seremban Hospital, but later confirmed dead half an hour after arriving.
School administrative assistant lodged a police report at 7:05 last night, he was told to inform the students that Mohd Farid fell in the toilet.
However, police are investigating the incident found no scratches on the head other than the victim bleeding from the ears.District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Abdullah, when contacted confirmed the incident and said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Royal military college students to be bullied to death.

"The family was notified late to the situation and a board of inquiry was established after the incident occurred to determine the cause of the incident," the statement said.
Some students who are identified with the victim during the incident were called to assist in investigations.
"Police investigations are underway to start the internal needs of the Armed Forces, the special investigations branch of the Provost Marshal to carry out follow-up investigations," the statement said.

The victim's mother, Hazleena Single Ali, 36, said before his son was called by the incident, a female student who is a former close friend to settle the misunderstanding between them."Arriving at one point in the school, a group of other students are waiting for them to continue the beatings and the victim without mercy."

Increased school crime

MELAKA 1 August - Index crimes involving primary and secondary school students in the state rose to 30 cases during the first seven months of this year compared to 18 cases during the same period last year.

Singapore Police Contingent statistics also showed an increase of 12 cases or 67 percent with a large percentage of cases of violent crime categories of rape, gang robbery without firearms and cause injury.

State police chief SAC I Mazlan Mansor said the statistics also show that students involved in the case of motorcycle theft and snatch theft.

Bullying: Police will meet the Department of Education

Bullying Case: One More Teachers? Principals, wardens may face action

PUTRAJAYA, 1 March - The Education Ministry will take appropriate action to all parties involved in the case of bullying involving a student from a school in Dalat, Sarawak.

The Director General of Education Datuk Alimuddin Mohd. Dom said the school principal or warden will also be imposed if the action failed to control the discipline until the onset of bullying.

PETALING JAYA: The Education Ministry takes a serious view of bullying incidents involving students at a school in Johor Baharu published in YouTube a few days ago and reported by a Chinese newspaper yesterday.

MEASURES TO SOLVE THE BULLY PROBLEM

Among the steps that I can share to solve the problem of bullying is:

1. Religion:
In this case, the most important step is to give my opinion agama.Pada education, religious education is the most important elements in life as a human form of religious education to be sensitive to sin and the reward or consideration of good and evil in the afterlife. This will cause it not to bully because they understand that bullying and any act that may cause adverse effects to one another is a wrong action on the religious side.

2. Strict regulations:
to solve the problem of bullying, I feel that there should be strict regulations that may be appropriate action against bullies and regulations should be implemented without "discriminate." Anyone who is bullying, regardless of whatever rank or position shall be penalized. In addition, the parties must also be transparent in handling bullying. In addition to taking action against bullies, the cases should be disclosed to the public for a lesson to others.

3. Role of Media:

School plays an important role in providing protection for children against violence. However, for most children, the environment in schools actually expose them to violence in which they will learn violence. They are exposed to punishment in the form of physical, psychological punishment in the form of a very brutal and shameful, and gender-based violence and sexual in nature, and bullying.

Professor of HELP University College, a Professor Datin Noran Fauziah bt. And Dr. Jacob. Goh Chee Leong share views on the importance to stop violence in schools.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 3, 2007 - "The cases of bullying in schools has become common now a matter of concern in Malaysia. One of the shocking case of bullying throughout the country is a massive attack against a 16-year-old students by senior students in 2005 which has resulted in the death of the student. This case and other cases have been increasing public concern on violence in schools in Malaysia. Minister of Education had warned about bullying, which is the statement made by him, that strong action will be imposed on those who do, and he also declared that bullying is something that "can not be accepted."

"We must understand that bullying is not necessarily occur in the form of physical violence only. Types of bullying that often occurs and the worst in the Malaysian schools are more psychological nature. If 'terrorism' can be described as an act of deliberate harm done to others, the bully who is not physically represented in the form of violence in the form of emotional and social. Most people give more attention to bullying in a physical form and ignore the form of psychological bullying and is not considered significant. This is an irresponsible position and is very dangerous for both types of bullying can cause distress to the victim.

The effects of bullying

"Emotionally, victims who were bullied often feel scared and worried every time they are in school. This is difficult for them to participate in the learning process. Due to the overwhelming fear, the victim will be skipping school to avoid bullying.

To ensure the effectiveness of an education, children must be given an environment that can be considered as safe from physical, emotional and intellectual. Only when children feel safe and intact, they will have to be more open to knowledge, only then they will try and learn, and only at the time they are more open to interact and engage with their teachers and friends their partners. When children feel that they threatened to hurt or humiliated, they will not achieve their full academic potential.

"The social, children who have become victims of bullying are often marginalized by their peers. This may be because they feel humble and it leads to lack of confidence in yourself to make friends with others and socialize.

"In most cases, children have been bullied may actually lack social skills to make friends with other children in comfort. Often, victims of bullying feel awkward to socialize with others, and this discomfort becomes more severe when they are bullied. Enhance the school community

"To deal with bullying behavior among students, the ability of the school community and parents need to be improved to cope with situations of bullying and victims effectively.

"UNICEF, together with the Faculty of Behavioural Science at HELP University College and the Ministry of Education has begun a project to introduce behavioral interventions for bullying to schools in Malaysia. Second, schools must have clear rules relating to bullying.
